A number of you have been having issues when trying to connect to Generals Online (for Generals or Zero Hour) or C&C3 Online. There's now a 22+ page thread about the outage on EA's own C&C3 forums.

I found the phone number of EA's IP-block maintenance department and gave it a long-distance phone-call and explained the situation, it seemed like this was the first they've heard of it (and to be fair, this is a weekend), but said they'd contact Gamespy (who actually operate the servers) "right away". So hopefully things will be back to normal by tomorrow morning (UTC).
