Ok this really works! All you have to do is write an email like descibed below.
For this to work you must provide an existing nickname and a VALID email address which was used to CREATE this nickname with.
If you are unsure if you used a valid email adres, or if you just want to make sure everything is cool.
The best is to just create a new hotmail account and use this new email to create a new nick for WOL:

Create a new Hotmail Account

Create a new WOL nickname

Once you created a new nickname you will not receive a confirmation email from EA/Westwood Studios.
However, you CAN start using this nickname right away by just signing in with it on WOL.

Now you should goto westwood's renegade FDS serials page:

Request a Serial for the new nick & email

When you completed requesting a serial for your just new created nick you must email to EA Technical Support as follows:

Email to: support31@ea.com
Email Subject: FDS Serials, Richard A.
In your email your write this:

Login used to request a FDS Serial: Nick you used to request the serial with.
Email attached to this nick: the email you used(MUST BE VALID!!)

Enter some nice words here, thanks you godlike master of renegade etc..

Now send your email. You should receive a response pretty quickly that he will look at your request and then after a few days up to a week after you should receive new FDS Serials.
