Steam Updates, But game wont connect. ie: Loading Game Resources (Freezes)/Blank Screen(freezes):
Solution: Game isnt fully updated (the confusing part) just leave steam on overnight and it should be updated when you get back on. Check the Monitor in the morning to see if its been idle for awhile, if it has, you should be allright When CS "freezes" when connecting to a server, it doesnt actually freeze, its just busy downloading the needed componants.. the key here is to just WAIT for your modem to stop blinking..
even when you get the game platform and steam platform updated, the game itself needs to be updated, go into the game properties (right click counter-strike in game menu) and make sure it says "ready to play" now do the same with your Half life..
if not, set it to "autiomatically download this update"
