High Voltage Readme

High Voltage is a mod map that improves Tesla tanks (range, ROF, and hit points) and Tesla coils (range and ROF). Paradrops from tech airport capture are seven Tesla troopers, regardless of side. (American special paradrop is unchanged.) Russia is the country to play at least once on this map, for these Tesla tanks are not only good at killing infantry and terror drones as always, but are now a good all-purpose unit. High output oil derricks (with increased bonus on capture) and CYs for both sides should lend to unpredictable gameplay in multiplayer, as well as a few "booby traps" (that aren't mods) hidden on the map. Allied power plant output is tripled, in keeping with the high voltage theme. Prism tanks have increased range, so that they'll still outrange the RA1-style Tesla coils.

Early scouts will probably not survive the trip across the map, so capture the Spy Sat Uplink near your starting point early on.

Play FFA mode in skirmishes to see a lot of arcs and sparks. ;-)

Be careful of the Neutral (white) Tesla tanks on the map. Your units and defense structures will not automatically fire on them unless fired upon. They win most battles because they get that critical first hit if you're not micromanaging things. They do come to the defense of any Neutral structure under attack and may retaliate if you destroy or capture (and sell) a Neutral CY. You have been warned.

Allied players note: garrisoning the Kremlin will give you the ability to build Yuris.
