Hier mal ein kleiner Streifzug durch das Medienecho das WoW bisher hervorgerufen hat ^^
GAMESPY - Bestes Rollenspiel 2004
Fazit: The greatness of World of Warcraft isn't that it innovates. It's that Blizzard, as it has before in other genres, manages to get to the heart of what makes this sort of game so compelling, polishes those elements until they gleam, and doesn't shy from stripping out anything annoying just because it's "the way things are done."

Fazit: World of Warcraft erfindet das Rad zwar nicht neu, aber die Liebe zum Detail, das schnelle Spielgefühl und die Benutzerfreundlichkeit, machen das Online-Rollenspiel für fast jeden reizvoll. Auch alleine kann man unzählige Stunden in der Fantasy-Welt verbringen. Ebenfalls sehr Positiv: Spieler die nur wenig Zeit haben, können sich problemlos mal für eine halbe Stunde einloggen und direkt loslegen.
