UNIQUE NICKNAMES:
Now, GameSpy Arcade users will have a lock on the nicknames that they use in the software. Every user will have a distinct nickname that no one else can duplicate.
Unique nicknames have several benefits:
Distinct identity: Your name and identity in Arcade is yours and yours alone. No impersonating: Other users are easy to identify; no one can claim to be you. Special offers from GameSpy, game developers and more will be tied to unique names in the future!
Subscriber Benefit: (...)
NOTE: Along with the addition of unique nicknames, Arcade users are now limited to the creation of 5 Arcade profiles in order to prevent users from “camping” or hording unlimited numbers of unique names. We have not, however, deleted anyone’s existing profiles; the limit exists for new profiles only.
da Generals ja über Gamespy läuft hört sich das ja mal gut an, hoffentlich gilt das dann auch da, aber müsste ja ;)
